Emotion regulation is like other skills: it takes practice. After 2 weeks of daily journaling to reframe unpleasant events, depression dropped, life satisfaction rose, and the benefits lasted at least a month. The best way to improve at managing emotions is to do it more often.

The Bridgeport ISD RLA curriculum writers were hard at work this week revising pacing guides, updating essential standards, and mapping out instructional pathways. From genre, to academic vocabulary, to grammar—these amazing educators honed their craft. True professionals!

We shouldn’t see our opinions as cherished possessions. We should treat them like everyday clothes. Look at the views in your closet that were trendy once. Discard the ones that look silly to you now. Wear the ideas that fit you today. Be ready to outgrow some of them tomorrow.
