Ain’t it about time we recognize that Black communities deserve more than to be sidelined in coalition spaces where our issues are often overshadowed in the name of intersectionality? We need authentic support that centers our voices and addresses our specific needs directly.

As a Black organizer and civic leader, I’m done unpacking trauma in spaces where my voice isn’t valued. I’m not looking for a Black & Brown coalition or for donor briefings. Just fund our work and let us lead. See y’all in January. #FundUs #LetUsLead 🙏
