Was interesting to note yesterday that there was no social media “influencers” at this fantastic, historical show yesterday 🙄🤔 #lakedistrict I suspect many were seeking “infinity pools” and “hidden gems” which are riven with litter and more of late given the weather💔😢 So

Terry Abraham FRGS Ah Terry, that looks terrific! I was in Patterdale Friday & Saturday (incl. on the low route from Grasmere/Grisedale Tarn, which was horrible in *that* weather) & saw the signs for this but couldn't stay. On the plus side, I saw 3 red squirrels...

Well done to these young folk who cleared it up 👏👏👏🏅🏅🏅and to those people who made the mess, you are 💩💩💩😡😡🤬🤬🤬

Terry Abraham FRGS Well done to these young people for what they have done. A seed has been sown with them that will be passed on, just a shame that we have people out there who this type of behaviour comes naturally. No respect for people or the natural world.

Terry Abraham FRGS A huge thank you to that group of young people. It’s sometimes easy to forget that the majority are decent people but we must find a suitable discouragement to the moron element; ‘having words’ with them only makes them laugh at authority. 🤷‍♂️

Two-thirds of hospitality businesses in Cumbria are operating below capacity because they can't find enough staff. The collapse of the long-term private rented sector to airbnb and holiday lets means there are not enough affordable places for staff to live. This must change.

Was very windy and wet at times today 💨🌧️ I was out filming content for my YouTube channel relaunch🎥⛰️ #lakedistrict #ullswater I’m home now warm and dry after undertaking two interviews with journos about the litter and “fly camping” issues in the area 😢👍 Was good to be out!

Terry Abraham FRGS The generous folk on here put it down to a lack of education and others a lack of respect. I’ll go with the latter…these kind of people just don’t give a stuff! They know it’s wrong so education is wasted. It’s quite simple - there’s no consequence to their actions.

Terry Abraham FRGS That is absolutely disgusting and so upsetting. How does anybody think that it's fine to behave like that any where, never mind in a national park. I thought I'd seen it all but clearly not. Well done to these caring people for helping to clean up that horrific mess. 😥

A month or so ago a good pal of mine sadly passed away with cancer 💔😢 #lakedistrict #nature “We succeed by learning from mistakes…it’s what you do after that counts….the national park have got to look at what we do for the next 50 years because the rest of it aint gonna

Terry Abraham FRGS Hi Terry, I am really sad to hear about Jamie. I studied with him on a PGCE at Lancaster 13-14 years ago. I was only talking about him the other day with a fellow student. I love hearing him speak in your video. I hope you are alright. Rest in peace Jamie 💚

Terry Abraham FRGS He was such a lovely chap. Had many nice walks and chats with him, such a captivating soft voice you would just be engrossed by his wisdom and knowledge. Was great with the school kids. Such a sad loss.

Terry Abraham FRGS Jamie was a mountain of a man, on the nail about nature, passionate and clear thinking and will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
