New review out today Molecular Cell by the TAG team Jonathan P. Karr and Jack Ferrie - here they examine the expanse of IDRs in eukaryotic TFs and review how these non-conserved regions may lend to fundamentally different regulatory mechanisms than well-structured TFs in bacteria.

New preprint from the lab describing the structural role of Lig4 in end synapsis during NHEJ. Using 2 and 3-color smFRET approaches, we show that end binding by Lig4 is essential for formation of the short-range synaptic complex. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
