Yesterday I spoke to some members of the SC Counterdrug Task Force of the SCNG on getting back to the basics of safe driving habits. We discussed vehicle maintenance, seatbelt usage, speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.

🚨Aiken County🚨 Troopers are currently investigating a collision on I-20 around the 13 mile marker. This has closed the east and westbound sides of I-20. A detour has been put in place. Eastbound traffic will exit at the 11 mile marker back on at the 18 mile marker.

🚧 Detour in place: ➡️ Eastbound traffic is being detoured off I-20 at Exit 11 and will re-enter at Exit 18. ⬅️ Westbound traffic will follow the opposite detour: Exit 18 to Exit 11.

🚧 Traffic Alert: I-20 detoured near Aiken County until early next week 🚧 Following a strike by a tractor-trailer, the overpass bridge on Old Vaucluse Road is damaged beyond repair, requiring demolition and removal.

🚧 UPDATE: I-20 Bridge Aiken County 🚧 The bridge is a total loss after today’s tanker crash & fire. Demolition is underway & crews will work overnight to clear the site. Repaving & guardrail work will follow to reopen I-20 as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more updates.
