You can literally feel it in your bones when it's time to step into a new season. Everything in and around you just screams, "Come up hither."

I'll always emphasize defining success for yourself. What are your metrics? Society's standards aside, at what point would you consider yourself successful? It matters more than you know.

I actually enjoy people-watching. Not the jobless, miserable fixation on others' lives but balconies, airports, places from which I quietly ponder on the complexities of human life.

One prayer I say often is, 'Lord, don’t let me waste away.' We underestimate how easy it is to waste away in a job, relationship, or a life that lacks meaning. Time really is the currency of life.

I’m too Type A to not track my period. I need to know when it’s coming, why I suddenly hate everyone and want to cry, what's on my schedule that week, and if I have to medically delay it. Periods affect my mood and life too much to just freestyle. I don’t know how babes wing it.

The men in church were tearing up, and I teared up with them. Men deserve to be loved and appreciated just as much. Just as deeply. Just as loudly.

On trying physical church again: Although I'm not a fan of large crowds and noisey spaces, I'm realising I prefer mega churches to smaller ones mostly because I'd rather be lost in the mix than constantly known and noticed by everyone. Introvert math.

Omdsss. It looks like we have a date approved for August. I can't believe this is happening. I can't wait to share.

It may be obvious I don’t talk as much anymore about the heartbreaking news that keeps pouring out of this place. It’s unfair what this place does to you. One exasperating tragedy after another, with the helplessness of knowing there’s not much you can do. It’s heavy to carry.

These are not just statistics. Human beings. Gone. Just like that. Over and over and over again. We must never get too desensitised. It is not normal.

The next 6 months can be better than the last if you put in the work. So put in the work. Get up and try again. Restrategise. Renew your faith. Fight a good fight. The latter days MUST be better. It's not over unless you believe it is.

I really detest how grief just sneaks up on you.

Life is inherently meaningless. I ponder often and always arrive at the same conclusion.

Someone congratulated me on something and I brushed it off with “Congrats for what? 👀It’s no biggie” and their reply was, “It’s nothing to you because you’ve had some good wins before. But to me, it’s a big deal.” I quickly repented quietly. May we never commonise God's grace.

Ebenezer. Thus far the Lord has helped us.

If you're a kind person or an emotional giver, please learn to put structure around your benevolence. It is wisdom. It will save you.

Even if hope is the only thing you have left, please hold in to it. If you lose all hope, you truly lose everything.
