Celebrating a proud PI moment! Kanita, an #NSFREU undergraduate researcher soon to embark on her PhD journey within our lab clinched two awards in the CSU e-days for her exemplary contributions to our NSF/NASA funded project on "mitigating tissue degeneration in space."

In our new preprint we report an interesting technical development by PhD student Eric Havenhill. He quantified the force in stress fibers of migrating cells from the experimental information of cell trajectory combined with computational modeling. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

What a week! As we present our 2nd PhD Dr. Eric Havenhill (1st in mech), our 1st PhD Samantha Wilkins joins Critical Path Institute (C-Path) as a project manager of complex in vitro models after a 2 year postdoc Seattle Children's. The committee found Eric's work 'very creative, novel and elegant'.

Lab summer party 2024 to bid farewell to Dr. Eric Havenhill and to welcome 4 new graduate students. Celebrated a few achievements and many failures over last year, including the acceptance of a paper and rejection of another paper from the same first author on the day of party.
