I wish I were shocked by this… my MP has just said that women with young children will be too preoccupied to do important jobs. I think this is emblematic of the remaining parliamentary Tory Party - extremist right wing views and horrible, horrible old-fashioned misogyny.

A weird position for me to be in - defending Kemi Badenoch (who I find abhorrent politically), but #Chope here is at his awful, misogynistic worst - and it's all said in a 'reasonable tone'. Women, know your place.... (both candidates btw, Jenrick & Badenoch have three children)
