Not sure if this is the actual first Etch client site, but it is mine! emberops.newpulsestudios.com Not 100% done. Content and images are mostly AI placeholders, and still gotta do some QA on it. Overall though super excited to build more sites with Etch.

The WP ecosystem *really* needs to get behind the fact that "themes" as an architectural concept is dead in the water. Themes-as-architecture is one of the most problematic aspects of WP in the modern era. It's limited, unnecessary, and confusing to newcomers. We must ditch it!

What's better than building a website with cutting edge technology most people don't have access to yet? Building a website with cutting edge technology most people don't have access to yet while smoking a good cigar. #wordpress #etchwp Drew Estate Cigars

Debated color pickers in page builders for styling elements. Entire Etch team was pretty much unanimous on this — nobody who knows what they’re doing uses a color picker in web dev. So, Etch won’t have them. Setting global styles, maybe. Inputs for styling elements? Nonsensical.

The idea that users should be dragging the width and height of images, using drag handles, to change image dimensions in the block editor is WILD to me. What are we doing???

It's so funny... Even though we didn't plan it this way, Etch is likely to be the #1 AI-assisted development platform for WordPress simply because we chose to respect the fundamental language of web design. AI knows HTML, CSS, and JS. It doesn't know Elementor syntax,

James Welbes - free yourself from the WP.org repo Kevin Geary Kevin Geary Kevin Geary is 100% worth getting excited about. It’s like the best bits of all the frustrating tools we use bought together to work like a professional system should. As soon as I’m done with my current build, I’ll be building things with Etch.

Do you need a "countdown element" in your page builder when you have access to code? Dia made me a countdown timer in about 8 seconds and I styled it up. I didn't even have to leave Etch. When you have AI, code access, and element-based JS, there's very little that you can't do.
