Cub camp tomorrow, both boys away for 4 nights. Longest they've ever been away from us since we became their parents. 🤞🏻 It goes well.

At home on my own with no expectation of the children coming home soon or having to get anything ready for them or take them anywhere. Weird feeling. First time in 7 years.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm after some recommendations for books for primary school children that have diverse representation, but incidentally and not as the focus of the story. E.g. The Last Firefox by Lee Newbery has an adopted child with 2 dads as the main character

So, of course two days before a very long awaited educational psychologist assessment for an EHCP happens COVID strikes the family again. 🤞🏻That it's just us grownups that get it. Children are currently clear 😬

I just watched my once timid little boy sing some solo songs in front of 150 odd parents and teachers as part of the school's performance of Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat. Proud is an understatement.

Thank you Santander UK for detecting and blocking a load of fraudulent activity on my debit card today. Still have no idea how they managed to get all the details, but at least it was spotted and addressed immediately. Glad my financial activity is boring and predictable! 😂🤔

Can't work out what I find more irritating, my son's insistence the word is "brung" or people who use bought instead of brought.

Husband: you ok? Me: no, I'm feeling anxious H: what about? Me: I don't know. THE worst part of anxiety is when it's there for no reason you can determine. I find it hard to CBT my way out of it when it's like this.

Thank you London Stansted Airport for what would have been a very smooth transition through security for my son with his lanyard 🌻, if only I hadn't forgotten that my ipad was in my bag 🤦🏽which made it get checked

Why do people keep laughing and thinking I'm joking when I say to do a charitable donation instead of getting me a C-word present?

Ashley Booth Heard a prof explain-rooted in our dna, animals do it too. When windy can’t smell or hear where danger coming from so have to be hyper vigilant to save life. Chn brain have same response. Name it to tame it-it’s very windy, we’re safe in here though. Regularly. Try it, it works 👍🏻

The logic of anxiety... Something, unknown, triggers anxious feelings. Brain immediately goes back to all the times that I have previously felt like that and regoes over every event. Thus increasing anxiety, still without identifying the cause this time. Exhausting.
