Actually got quite a bit done on my thesis this morning and it’s coming together! Looking like a real document with four first author papers as chapters so far- just one more to go and it’s in the final stages before submission! #phdlife

Finally back into painting again! Here is a genetic counsellor pea plant doing the Pregen study- a gift for some colleagues who no longer work with me!

Well that’s another step- final paper for PhD has just been submitted! Fingers crossed!

Had a fantastic time at the Pathology Update in Adelaide over the weekend- precision medicine, hematology and prenatal screening and diagnosis talks were all absolutely fascinating. Also lovely to finally meet my boss in person after a year of working remotely!

It’s been ages since I did any drawings but managed to finish off a giant commission yesterday- multiple pieces!

One wonderful thing about being based in Perth and working on New South Wales time is ‘working late’ still means knocking off at 4pm. And my colleagues are my dog and my cat. They don’t pull their weight but they do provide workplace morale.

So stoked today to send off nine custom genetic counselling themed artworks to Ohio, USA. Humbled that my little drawings get to fly around the world to people who love them! I’m also happy to accept commissions through Twitter and love doing my genetic counsellor pea plants!

It’s been ages since I’ve been here but have some exciting news for those genetic counsellors who like my art- I’ve been experimenting with digital artwork and will soon be adding vinyl stickers of pea plants and notebooks for genetic counsellors to my store!

Super excited to say I will have little genetic counsellor pea plant stickers holding recessive inheritance pedigrees for sale in my Etsy shop soon!
