The adolescent brain is known for being deliberately impulsive.The pre frontal cortex top part for self-control,problem solving isn't fully developed until about 25. It feels before it thinks&relies on the amygdala for decision making where impulses & emotions are processed 🧠🌱

Nurture isn’t a room, but should be every room in a school. Creating a nurturing environment that allows children to learn, grow and explore their potential. 🧠🌱

Trauma does not exist in a vacuum. To cure the child, you heal the parent. We need to reform the environment where our young people are raised. 🧠🌱
