Just hilarious - as if undermining copyright won't kill OUR industry?! It's always the people who don't have a creative bone in their body who seem complicit in throwing the creative sector under a bus. thetimes.com/uk/technology-…

You mean it's GCSE composition good, without soul? And ripping off all the music it's been trained on without permission? Yes I think I agree with you.

Has the government forgotten that they work for us, the people? They seem to be busy putting in a shift for (mostly) international tech and venture capital firms Let’s call it what it is; open #corruption & #sleaze for which there isn’t any popular mandate. The Labour Party

The Data use and Access bill returns to the Lords on 2 June. Government have one more chance to get this right: theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

These lying MPs aren't fit for purpose themselves, siding with big tech's fake promises of economic salvation and complictly allowing them to steal for free. Artists will just stop engaging with tech, and instead provide a genuine, in-person offline experience to their fans.

I just don't understand the argument at all that AI stealing is necessary for the economy to prosper. Big data is built on fake money aka investors who want a return, and there will be no income tax generated when everyone's jobs are obsolete - what will governments do then?

I was thrilled to give the opening keynote at CISAC's first Creators' Day yesterday. Sharing the text below as a short essay on where I think things stand in the fight for creators' rights in the age of generative AI. ---- In 2015, there was a small AI team at a major tech

Hope MPs will ask what Kyle & Altman discussed at this lunch e.g. did they discuss upcoming UK legislation on AI & copyright and how Kyle would like to see it turn out

***PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE this petition organised by the brilliant Ed Newton-Rex asks the government to correct its misleading claims in the recent consultation on #Copyright & #AI. There cannot be a more important issue right now. It takes 20 seconds: openletter.earth/uk-government-…

Any more signatures anyone? We need to hold the government to account for spreading misinformation to fulfil their own big-tech-skewed agenda on this issue. openletter.earth/uk-government-…

Just been chuckling with my kids over breakfast listening to this quirky and niche library album I wrote a while back - vocals by Emma Penrose and Tim Dickinson open.spotify.com/album/46KGuHfj…

My thought of the day: - As a CEO of a multinational corporation, how much contempt do you need to have for yourself and for your fellow human beings to lay off staff to AI - not because you can't afford them, but just because you can?
