3rd day of Spanish club at Freemansburg Elementary

Finally posting “wow” The Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley LV #fiesta! Music, food and conversations- oh my! Got to see a former student 🇫🇷 teaching days #BASD, catch up with ladies Broughal MS & Moravian University Center for Inclusive Excellence and even met a traveling teacher from 🇵🇷!

As part of classroom routine, a mindful minute or two can help transition and prepare for a new topic. K-3 really enjoy the different videos that help breathing techniques and calm their bodies to encourage a ready to learn and focus environment.

Not only can we learn more about this horrific issue, but we have the ability to help while shopping. My Sister’s Closet on 191 Beth/Bath Pike is a fantastic second hand store that is 100% funding for the Bloom houses and programs. Selection is great!

The Spanish Classroom is ready for the 24-25 school year. I take great pride in teaching my native language. 'To learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world.' I encourage you to learn a second language; there's nothing to lose, everything to gain‼️

Another successful BASD and Moravian University cultural identities book club. Solito by Javier Zamora @jzsalvipoet is an amazing memoir about immigration. We had some truly amazing conversations. Looking forward to the next 3 sessions!

5th grade at Freemansburg Elementary Reviewing cognates in a fun way‼️Cognates are words that are similar in English and Spanish. In fact, if you know English you already know 40% of Spanish.

T’was the night before the Bethlehem Parade and all was quiet in Spring Garden Parking lot, until an 18 foot trailer pulled in and t’wasnt enough so we add two feet…

Arte y Español this Saturday 11/2 from 1-2 pm at the Allentown Art Museum! Families are invited to join with their little ones (ages 2-10) for this FREE community event. This storytime program is spoken entirely in Spanish to promote language literacy and exposure to the arts.

Last week at Freemansburg Elementary the first graders were writing reasons why they are thankful. My heart melted when I saw that they had chosen to give thanks for Sra. Cruz. 😁🍁☺️
