What a loss for audio. Short Cuts is where I go to feel excited and inspired. It was my first ever BBC broadcast with "Checking One's Levels". It's where I recommend every single new producer to pitch.

This is absolutely heartbreaking news. I — like so, so many producers — would not have my start in audio without Short Cuts. It's a rare gem and the perfect home for documentaries, essays, experimentation and audio art. Shows like Short Cuts should be celebrated and protected.
