All about the pensions… and grains, love talking grains. You’ll find me talking about the world of finance, growing the UK and rubbish politics.

It’s not awkward at all. It could not be simpler. If you’re a healthy man, and you’re sat next to one of the following who is standing up, you get their attention (catch their eye, light tap on the shoulder, etc), smile and say… “Excuse me, would you like this seat?”. If

In Lisbon and reading about a "fun" side effect of France's pensions model Schematically: -young 🇫🇷 workers can't buy a flat because 28% of their salary goes to pensioners -young 🇵🇹 workers can't buy a flat because 🇫🇷 pensioners are busting the market

Everyone in the treasury should meet the man and learn about the laffer curve. I’m not sure anyone in the treasury has heard of it.

Of all things over the Rayner tax evasion affair, there is always Paul Lewis to have a terrible take. Trusts are used by most people.

Wrong. The Tube’s had automation since 1968. The Victoria line was the world’s first fully automated railway! There’s been no technological barriers for decades, only union resistance and lack of political will. You helped squash London’s global lead.

Surprising to see that the vacancy rates of offices in Paris at 4% and London 7% Is this a sign that there is no development in the cities or a sign that the offices are full?

If you don't think that a young, female refugee being murdered in cold blood by a madman with a long string of convictions in a public place on camera in front of witnesses is newsworthy then maybe journalism is not for you.

Workers rights from day one is ridiculous. However 2 years is also too much. There seems to be a sensible middle ground in there, probably at the end of a probation with 6 months or 1 year.

Every second a Labour MP spends campaigning for a wealth tax is a second that could be spent campaigning for real tax reform that could make the tax system fairer, boost economic growth and (unlike the wealth tax) actually happen. A thread:
