A pleasure meeting António Guterres today. We discussed 🇵🇸 🇮🇱 and paths to peace & a sustainable solution in the Middle East. Continued support for 🇺🇦 also on the agenda. As the UN turns 80, 🇮🇸 reaffirms its belief in the multilateral system and UN’s role as a vital world body.

Russia's aggression against the people of Ukraine must stop. We need to amp up the pressure on Putin to stop this brutal war. Good discussions at Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU 2025 on the crucial importance of achieving just and lasting peace for 🇺🇦.
Iceland values greatly its bilateral relationship with 🇪🇸 and it was a great pleasure to meet my Spanish colleague José Manuel Albares in Copenhagen today. We discussed the upcoming inauguration of an 🇮🇸 Embassy in Madrid as well as global issues, in particular Palestine and Ukraine.
