Great work from Tilly Powell-Bowns in The Bone & Joint Journal : where fractures (n=152) are anatomically reducible & the bone cement interface is intact, fixing Vanc B fractures around Exeter stems is assoc with lower risks of reop & revision than rTHA. #orthotwitter #hip #THA online.boneandjoint.org.uk/doi/full/10.13…

Great work from @tillspb While Vanc B #peripros #fractures around Exeter stems are independent of bone quality, Vanc Cs are fragility fractures associated with female sex, thinner femoral cortices, longer cement mantles and higher mortality. Open access: link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Great to be in The Bone & Joint Journal: kneeling ability ⬆️ in 19-35% after #TKA, but ⬇️ in 23-30%. #Kneeling is important to patients and affects PROMs. Femoral component flexion and anterior femoral offset were important esp in deep flexion. #knee #orthotwitter online.boneandjoint.org.uk/doi/full/10.13…
