In our new article, @denis-cohen.bsky.social Werner Krause and I provide a new framework, method and data set to analyze vote switching between political parties. Interested in the effect of cross-class exposure on attitudes toward redistribution? In a new paper in British Jnl Poli Sci, Kim Sønderskov, Peter Thisted Dinesen, and I find that local exposure to poor individuals reduces support for redistribution among the well-off. OA: cup.org/3vP49Qr

In light of the UK extreme-right (ER) riots & Tommy Robinson's role in them, our conditionally accepted British Jnl Poli Sci paper w/@FlorianFoos shows a causal effect of media exposure to extreme right actors, incl. Robinson, on support for extreme right views: osf.io/preprints/soca… 1/11

Now out in PNAS Nexus! We find that correcting misperceptions about the out-party has no consistent effect on partisan animosity, support for partisan violence, or support for undemocratic practices, suggesting that corrections are not a panacea for addressing democratic ills.
