It would seem that the official reason given for suppressing the Latin Mass, ie that bishops demanded it, was false. Reverse the ban. A lot of time has been wasted and hearts broken for absolutely nothing. Let us get on with practising our faith!

The Welfare defeat might actually help Starmer a bit. Persuades a few on the Left that they can redirect the party through parliamentary manoeuvre, so perhaps less keen to walk away. Some have also culturally moved on a bit from 2019 (Blue Labour has welcomed some Corbynites).
