If you're a pension-age couple with a combined income of just under £70,000 a year, the government will give you taxpayers' money to pay your energy bills with. If you're a family earning a fraction of that amount and struggling to keep your children warm this winter, no help

BMA members are asking for a path to a starting salary of £23/h, over a number of years. - For a fully qualified doctor. How do we know this is reasonable? Because The Labour Party already pays doctors assistants a starting salary of £24/h. That’s right, we’re asking to be paid

Due to work this afternoon, but practice just cancelled last minute: “Withdrawal reason: I no longer require this staff type, ARRS used” Now tell me practices & GP partners aren’t complicit in destroying general practice.

It says a lot about how institutionalised I am within the NHS that I’ve taken my first sick day in nearly three years but still feel incredibly guilty about it

This is the clearest example of why allowing employers to set scope is inherently dangerous. This is why NATIONAL standards are needed for training, education AND practice. Only DOCTORS are sufficiently trained to manage sick patients.

As soon as I see a senior doctor advocating for 24 hour on calls for residents, I know I can disregard all of their opinions regarding the current state of medical training. On my psych job maybe, but 24 hour medical on calls would be catastrophically dangerous

Triple Lock needs to be replaced with a single lock indexing the State Pension to average earnings growth. It will be far more sustainable and give pensioners more of a stake in productivity gains.

Chris Tim Ricketts Wes Streeting Fully support the Resident doctors They shouldn’t have to subsidise our healthcare while watching their medically unqualified assistants earn £10K more from day one
