Today, Gov Walz took an important step moving MN towards a Clean Fuel Standard (aka LCFS). This is biggest single policy action the state can take to reduce transport climate pollution. bit.ly/2ZZVKsV

Just got new pics of 1 MW community solar on underused gravel pit. Saving $ with rents from vendor and guaranteed savings on electric bills. Air quality and carbon benefits are nice bonus, too. Thanks photo team Minnesota Department of Transportation!

Remember the IIJA, that historic & bipartisan infrastructure package that Congress passed? If #mnleg fails to pass a transpo bill, Minnesota Department of Transportation can't spend any of MN's IIJA $. We also risk losing up to $100M in federal $ this yr. Huge missed opportunities. Good The Minnesota Star Tribune summary:

Jake Loesch (@jakeloesch) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The #mnleg didn't approve $315M in MN's federal IIJA money - so Minnesota Department of Transportation can't use it. You'll see other states moving forward w/ new investments & creating 1000s of jobs, but MN will be left behind & not be as competitive for other federal grant opportunities until #mnleg acts.

Skies were cloudy but that didn't stop folks of all ages (incl. those in suits) from biking, riding the train, enjoying a quiet e-bus, or all of the above. Thanks to the Dutch Embassy for an inspiring tour of their multimodal systems.

Lots of bridge work in Mpls this summer. It's still a great city for biking - here's a map to navigate closures and bike detours.
