We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former CEO, colleague, and friend Andrew Dougal OBE. As CEO of NICHS from 1983 to 2015 he was a passionate advocate for people suffering from chest, heart and stroke illnesses and he leaves a lasting legacy.

Here we are with Royal Victoria Hospital presenting them with their new stroke lysis bag. We're thrilled that another hospital has a new lysis bag! The bag plays a vital role in fast stroke care, and we’re so happy that the hospital is now equipped with a new one!

Lisa had a stroke aged 37 while 8 weeks pregnant with her daughter Orla. Our services helped support her in her recovery after she left hospital. ✨Every donation to our work this Christmas will help bring hope for the future to others like Clodagh, Lisa and Ciara.
