I just read through the San Francisco Department of Public Health's 2022 Overdose Plan. Words related to race and racism are used approximately 10x more than those related to recovery or sobriety. No change in strategy from what I can see. They are doubling down.

The tragedy of SVB is that its not the wealthy taking the hit. It's the thousands of companies who borrowed from SVB and were required to keep their cash in SVB. Those entrepreneurs and their employees and vendors are feeling the pain. And they are who the Fed should protect

Some (below) are arguing US capitalism would be better off if SVB had completely failed (also wiping out depositors). History suggests that out gov't treated big banks (2008) & big airlines (2020) FAR BETTER than SVB - in both cases fully protecting EQUITY shareholders. (cont)

San Francisco's tunnel tops park is amazing but it was a huge miss to have the open section of highway between the two tunnels. It results in loss of park space, traffic noise and an eyesore: as it is and as it could have been (not to late to do this SF)
