This June (23-28/6/24), I'm Chairing the 2024 Gordon Research Conferences on Crystal Engineering entitled "Crystals Meet Artificial Intelligence". The programme is shaping up and places are filling fast; apply now if you'd like to attend tinyurl.com/55umfdhu 🧵1/5 RT🙏

The meeting is being preceded by a fantastic Gordon Research Seminar meeting, Crystal Design Through Analysis, co-organised by Thomas Fellowes and Samantha G. Le Roux grc.org/crystal-engine… Why not come to both? 🧵4/5

In the lab, Caitlin and Thomas Fellowes (working with Anna Slater (she/her) and Andy Cooper), managed to identify all five different structures, giving access to a wide range of acid-acid distances across the binding cavity.

One of my last PhD projects is out now in ChemEurJ: Chemistry - A European Journal, in which I took a dive into the world of SSNMR. With the help of Dr Marc-antoine Sani, we measured the chemical shielding tensor of a selenium atom as it participates in a chalcogen bond. doi.org/10.1002/chem.2…

It is now available at ChemComm: pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art… 🥳 big congrats to @CaitShields (and of course Thomas Fellowes , Andy Cooper, Anna Slater (she/her) , Keith Andrews) 🥳

In case you missed it... Check out "Exploration of the polymorphic solid-state landscape of an amide-linked organic cage using computation and automation" by C. E. Shields, T. Fellowes, A. G. Slater, A. I. Cooper, K. G. Andrews and Filip Szczypiński 👨‍🔬🍷 Read it here buff.ly/3VCbrBb

Fantastic line up for our 3rd biennial Leverhulme Research Centre - Materials Design Symposium, 11-14 Nov 2024, to be held This Is Anfield Stadium ⚽️. Partial speaker list below. This time we're also aligning an Early Career Colloquium. Early bird reg. £100 before Aug 9th; it's an absolute steal. RT 🙏
