Journalists, stop calling the failure to pass the voting rights bill a “major setback” for Democrats. It is a major setback for DEMOCRACY. The right to vote is not a partisan issue. Stop framing it as such and legitimizing anti-voter efforts.

House Finance just killed all 3 bills to fund school construction — when nearly 1/2 our schools are overcrowded. Maybe they should listen to parents about that.

Today I met with the CHS Superintendent’s Student Advisory, and a student shared the following: Student: “Sometimes we just want someone to ask if we are okay and ask whether we have eaten.” We have to get to know our students. THAT’S THE TWEET!
