A Paradigm Shift is now Underway in the Cancer Field. The mitochondrial metabolic theory has replaced the genetic theory as the most credible explanation for the origin of cancer. According to the American Cancer Society over 618,000 people are projected to die from cancer in

"Our data show that glutamine could maintain sufficient ATP content in either the presence or absence of oxygen through mitochondrial substrate-level phosphorylation in the glutaminolysis pathway during glucose deprivation. No other amino acid had a stimulatory effect on ATP

In this study, data are presented showing that high GKI values are linked to rapid tumor growth, extensive metastasis, and reduced overall survival, whereas low GKI values are linked to slower tumor growth, reduced organ metastasis, especially to brain, and extended survival.
