Lots of amazing and delicious analogue game ideas starting to emerge on day one of Ada Scotland Festival Games Jam in Motion led by DJCAD, UoD & Abertay Game Lab kindly hosted by NEoN Digital Arts

It’s day 2 of the Ada Scotland Festival Games in Motion Jam and teams are play testing their initial games concepts - there’s a resource management game based on spoon theory, a maze game that you build & then escape & an asymmetric burger building game with embedded inclusivity mechanics

Today our amazing DES402 students Abertay University are pitching their games for the Whale Song Park Jam They have designed games for public space, multiplayer, 360-degree play in 3 weeks for the park. We’ve seen Seagulls, pirates, puzzles, rubbish collecting robots & sausage dogs!

Last week Scottish Parliament resumed after October recess. It was good to discuss climate adaptation w/ community groups NESCAN Hub, & learn about games/gaming from staff & students Abertay University. I argued for real #RentControls for private tenants to make homes more affordable. A snapshot:
