Yesterday, I celebrated 12 years sober while successfully defending my PhD. To think that at 15yo, I was relearning how to speak following a TBI and at 22yo I was dying from OUD. No matter how things seem, it’s always possible to start over and rebuild. I am humbled and grateful.

And perhaps the most intriguing data presented by Kevin Hall at #NLASessions: Interim analysis from a fascinating trial suggests UPFs may not inherently drive weight gain; instead, it’s energy density and hyperpalatability of the UPFs that is associated with ad lib energy intake

Brandolini’s Law (also known as the bullshit asymmetry principle): The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.
