Nice to get both squares and net blocks opened up this week Utilita Bowl along with cutting and spraying outfields before the weather took a turn again Hampshire Cricket


Pre season work going on Utilita Bowl nursery square and nets having a couple of passes with the Dennis Mowers G860s both outfields getting a drop of TurfCare Seaweed to give the plant a bit of nutrient.





Games coming thick and fast Utilita Bowl Hampshire 2xi 3 day game then into Southern Premier Cricket League first home game of the season for the academy



Double header t20 on Monday for Hampshire Cricket 2xi followed by Army v RAF on Tuesday slightly on the dry side but prep has been managed through three 3 day games. Near net recovery has come through lovely ready for pitch prep to start again.


Another busy week down Utilita Bowl double header t20s Thursday same pitch for Saturdays Hampshire Cricket academy match plus fixtures Monday and Tuesday next week before we can go into recovery mode and repair some pitches to be used again.


T20 matches this week Utilita Bowl couple pitches used for games Monday Wednesday&Thursday crazy month of cricket have been challenged in many ways but overall very happy with what has been produced managing prep around and during games is always a good challenge


Pitch for Hampshire Hawks academy today used 6 weeks ago for a four day game came back really well having games either side ends started to struggle but overall very happy rain brought the early finish allowing some granular to go down to help recovery with the rest of the square


Huge shout out to apprentices Brad Francis for producing his first set of nets Utilita Bowl and to a high standard secondly to Daniel Eckton for taking on running our middle net block for women and academy training and developing his pitch skills


Days 1-4 from our latest Hampshire Cricket 2xi match Utilita Bowl v Somerset Cricket played on a hybrid left at 9mm bit of an experiment to see how things went overall produced a good game going to the last day


Pitch for the first ODI England Cricket v BCCI women Utilita Bowl my first international pitch very happy with the outcome 7mm of grass on and looked to be some good carry lots learned managing through the heat and final home games of the blast
