Parties to the conflict have engaged in widespread, systematic, and targeted attacks on humanitarian facilities that include the looting of supplies across Sudan; Widespread and targeted destruction of facilities that constitute protected civilian infrastructure... 2/4

...including marketplaces, civilian neighborhoods, schools, and food production facilities; and the deployment of roadblocks and checkpoints by both parties to the conflict, impeding freedom of movement of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid. 3/5

So I read the latest “China is taking over the world” FT article, accompanied by the trademark scary dragon imagery. Here’s what I learnt:

For starters, China is sponsoring initiatives to promote development, alleviate poverty and improve health in the developing world. Ugh.

But it gets worse: China also hopes to increase the influence of developing countries within international institutions such as the UN.

It also wants to revamp the role of the UN...

... in order to create an international system based on “true multilateralism” in place of the current US-led order where a few countries decide for everyone else under the guise of the “rules-based order”. Ah! Crazy Chinese...

... as demonstrated by its role in brokering the historic peace deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Finally, it want to expand the BRICS — which countries are lining up to join — as a counterweight to the G7.

I don’t know about you, but frankly I’m terrified. Just nuke the country before it’s given a chance to implement such an evil agenda...
