I agree with all of this but would add that the overtaking of 5-minute spot junkets vs longer interviews has essentially forced it to happen. Time constraints coupled with the desperate need for viral moments (that the studios support) has created this vortex of mindless content.

Junkets suck. But they didn’t suck nearly this much in the pre-influencer era. Some of this stuff I’m seeing….woof, can kill one through second-hand embarrassment.

What’s most notable about the KissCam thing is how smugly comfortable those 2 were to live their secret in public w/ guaranteed cameras all over. In fact, it directly reveals the way today’s CEOs/corporate powers think: I’m untouchable, invincible, & can never ever be vulnerable.
