📢 New paper out Chem lead by @L_Malouf 📢with Diana Tanase @FabriniFabrini Ryan Brady Miguel Paez Perez AdrianLeathers Michael Booth - Complex #SynCells made using #DNAnanotech #condensates and phase separation 1/n sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

And finally, after after a lengthy wait, our Nature Chemistry paper is out! This is the first instance of polymeric artificial cells that form enzymatically, and are then able to act like real cells, by expressing proteins ex novo! nature.com/articles/s4155…

Reminder for our upcoming mini-symposium "Toward the Understanding and Engineering of Complex Systems: Materials to Life," to be held on June 22, 2024, at ELSI, Tokyo Tech. The program is now available: mizuuchilab.w.waseda.jp/mini-symposium… Register now: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… See you soon!

Our next invited speaker is matsuura_tomoaki , who will be talking about how to modulate artificial cells that are able to respond to environmental changes! iNANO - Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center Aarhus University #ArtBio

[Preprint] We discovered a polyphosphate kinase that can phosphorylate all 8 nucleotides (NMP, NDP) to NTP using a cheap substrate polyphosphate.
