Despite being a serious lifelong condition, Sickle Cell disease is still not legally recognised as a disability. I've tabled this EDM, calling on the government to recognise it as such and secure the workplace rights of Sickle Cell warriors 👇🏾 edm.parliament.uk/early-day-moti…

Francesca Albanese on behalf of Palestinian 🇵🇸 children: “Why is it so? Are we less human? Are we less worthy?” 16,000 children murdered. 34,000 injured. 1,000,000 displaced & being starved. The 🇺🇸 & 🇬🇧 are aiding in this genocide of children. Racism. Evil. Inhumane.

Imagine ANY Palestinian had said, “This is a war of civilisation over barbarism. [Our Nation] will continue to defend itself by just means until total victory is achieved” When will 🇬🇧, 🇫🇷 & 🇨🇦 call out these racist words & genocidal acts for what they are? #TooLittleTooLate

Activism that relies on petitioning moral brutes and collectively marching, chanting and fighting armed state deputies on the streets is ineffective. There comes a time when it is important to assess what works and what does not and learn to do better. We must change, radically.

Remember Lammy's slogan "Power not Protest", well what good is it if you are unwilling to defend the innocent & vulnerable? We now know that given the chance, this Neo-Labour Party (bar a few principled MPs) would have branded Nelson Mandela a terrorist for opposing apartheid.

Conflating non-violent direct action with terrorism intended to cause loss of life sets a dangerous new precedent. My statement on this week's Palestine Action proscription vote (before it becomes a criminal offence) 👇🏾 bellribeiroaddy.com/statement-pale…

From Saturday, it will be a criminal offence in the UK to be a member or supporter of Palestine Action, an activist group that used direct action, not terrorism to disrupt the genocide in Palestine. But crimes against humanity are NEVER stopped by moral cowardice & hollow words.

As a lecturer on 'race' & ethnicity, I note that both interviewee & interviewer make several clumsy terminology mistakes during this clip🤦🏾‍♂️. However, in anthropology, the term 'racisms' (plural) is a valid concept used to analyse how racialising ideologies vary across cultures.
