Join us as Professor Sinead Ryan (Sinead Ryan) describes the standard model, its many astounding successes, and questions so far left unanswered... or unanswerable Wednesday the 2nd of March. 6pm. Maxwell Theatre. Be there or be square.

Confirmation by Niall Collins in the Seanad this afternoon that Ireland will lodge an application for #CERN associate membership at the October CERN Council meeting. A really positive move for Ireland’s scientific community.

Great to be at the Seanad today to hear confirmation Ireland is on track to #CERN membership in 2024. Thanks to the many supporters in the academic community and to Malcolm Byrne 🇮🇪 🇪🇺 🇺🇦 for championing the case in government 👏

Thanks to all the participants at our real-world mathematical modelling event shorturl.at/mpx24. Special thanks our sponsors SIG and Theoretical Physics Student Association and co-organisers DU Mathsoc DU Physoc. An amazing set of results in just two days!

Congratulations to the winner and all participants for representing their countries! 🌎We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! See you in Dublin 2024!🇨🇮 @PLANCKS_UK_IRE aisf_fisica

Join me and TCD_physics Goold_Group Phd student Alessandro Summer asked by quantinumn to showcase our work on using quantum computers for statistical mechanics. Ale used the quantinumn hardware to extract chebyshev moments which were used to estimate the density of states !

Exciting developments in the Oireachtas today (and nothing to do with RTE) with a briefing for TDs and Senators on CERN membership with contributions from CERN, the CERN Users group and IOP. Thanks to our sponsor Malcolm Byrne 🇮🇪 🇪🇺 🇺🇦, Minister Simon Harris TD and all other attendees.

Next week will also have a talk by Dr. Tom Crawford from Oxford University "Using Maths to Clean the Ocean" organised by Theoretical Physics Student Association eventbrite.com/e/using-maths-…
