Yesterday's industry session at the INSPIRE_EU conference was super interesting. Thanks to Dean Hintz for pointing out that XML/GML does a lot of things very well, such as validation, representation of #linkedopendata, and can be processed very well with mainstream tools.

At the INSPIRE_EU industry session, Giacomo from Epsilon Italia srl highlighted the GO-PEG Harmonized thematic open datasets project, which we are also contributing to. GO-PEG is currenty funding major development efforts for #halestudio, so you can all look foward to powerful new features!

At the INSPIRE_EU conference today at 13:30, I will explain how to use #Geopackage for INSPIRE and European Noise Directive compliant reporting, suign #halestudio.

Second to last comment on the INSPIRE_EU industry session yesterday: Thanks also to Nuno Oliveira from the #geoserver team, who pointed out that you can't simplify beyond a certain point without loosing too much information: Nature is complex.

This analysis of #opendata shows availability of building data across Europe. Awesome to see that about 80% coverage has been reached, and that INSPIRE_EU is the largest contributor to this, though there is still work to do to bring in attributive data:
