These attacks on World Health Organization (WHO) are intolerable and are further crippling the health response in Gaza. Medics working in conditions that could scarcely be imagined in our worst nightmares must not be targets. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law.

At the debate on the Ukrainian Scheme, I noted how young Ukrainians have excelled in Scotland, going on to pursue higher education, but have feared they will not be able to complete their studies. I am delighted the Government has now announced that they will extend the scheme.

I support the immediate recognition of the state of Palestine. But that in itself will not end the war. The mass starvation, indiscriminate killing and illegal occupation must end now.

The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The UK will pull every lever we have to get food and lifesaving support to Palestinians, and we will evacuate children who need urgent medical assistance. This humanitarian catastrophe must end.
