NYC Comptroller Brad Lander was just arrested by Trump’s ICE agents because he asked to see a judicial warrant. This is fascism and all New Yorkers must speak in one voice. Release him now.

My dear friend and colleague Comptroller Brad Lander was just violently detained by masked ICE officers while escorting folks out of immigration court. This is disgusting and horrific. He must be released immediately.

I genuinely love to see Zohran Kwame Mamdani and Brad Lander's partnership. This is what building a political coalition looks like and I want so much more of it.

The scariest part about Lander being arrested is that we can all see what happened. We can hear him asking to see a warrant and not resisting. We can all see a bunch of guys without badges wearing masks arresting him. It's scary because we can see it all and they don't even care.

ICE agents just kidnapped NYC Comptroller and mayoral candidate for asking to see their judicial warrant. They have no authority to arrest a US citizen, and it's very clear from the videos that Lander did NOT assault an officer as one of them claims. Proud to have voted for him!

Look at this picture and this solidarity. These are the folks I want running my city. Proud to have voted for 2 ppl in this picture today as well as the husband of a third. True leadership right here. (Would have voted for Tiffany Cabán too but not my district.)
