An actor who nailed a role so hard that nobody else will ever be able to live up to it? For me, that's Mark Jackson as Isaac in The Orville.

Yes, Mark Jackson is indeed a legend! His portrayal of Isaac is unforgettable, and Isaac and Claire's relationship is my favorite part of The Orville.

Yes. Mark Jackson made us fall in love with Isaac, both in his human form and also as a mechanical man. The Orville #TheOrville

Another actor who totally nailed his role is Seth MacFarlane as Captain Ed Mercer of the Orville. He perfectly portrayed Ed as vulnerable, emotionally devastated, sincere, and as a dedicated captain. I'm so grateful that he created this show.

Wishful thinking, but, unfortunately, I think that starship has already sailed. Paramount seems to have taken a hard right turn recently, so the possibility of having Seth's talent of intelligent sci-fi storytelling on their streaming platform is likely nil.

Yes. Ed's emotional and professional journey is amazing. As a captain, he's wonderfully approachable. He socializes with the crew. And his pain is on display for all to see. The captain that emerges in season 3 is the one that captures our hearts forever.

Whether live action or animated, it may not matter. Seth has a keen ability for truthful and forward-thinking storytelling, such as we see in Gently Falling Rain, and that may no longer be acceptable at Paramount.

I know what you mean. Let's just imagine that Kirk, instead of screaming "Khan!" here, he's screaming "Disney!" They really did drop the ball. And there are currently many changes going on at Disney. It's a time of change in the world of streaming platforms.

Yes, and The Orville explored the Krill and the Moclans in depth in just three short seasons. Paramount+ is included in my subscription to Walmart+, but I never watch anything on P+.

Yes, there's definitely a lot of Seth that we see in Ed Mercer. Seth poured his heart and soul into the making of The Orville.
