Cleaning up around Lake Keowee and Oconee Nuclear Station with Duke Energy teammates this afternoon, along with one of my favorite helpers. Throughout the month of April, volunteers will be participating in events like this across South Carolina in celebration of #EarthDay.

Celebrating National Lineworker Appreciation Day a day early in Anderson with students from Tri-County Tech’s power line worker program. The Duke Energy foundation is supporting future lineworkers with $200,000 in grants to training programs across SC. #ThankALineworker

Stopped by the Doodle Trail in Pickens today to present this grant as part of the Duke Energy Foundation’s efforts to support trails, litter cleanup, and tree planting events across SC. This funding will be used to repair/repaint markers and add new safety features to the trail

Helping children develop early literacy skills is critically important. I’m excited that the Duke Energy Foundation can continue to support the United Way’s Preschool Pages program in Pickens County with this grant.

Thank you to Duke Energy/Duke Energy South Carolina's World of Energy for welcoming us to its Community Leadership Breakfast last week. The event included a private tour of the Oconee Nuclear Station, which will continue operating into the 2050s as part of the recent and second 20-year

Stopped by Walhalla yesterday afternoon to present a HERO grant from the Duke Energy Foundation to the streets and facilities department. John and his team have an important role in storm response and I’m excited this grant will help fund equipment they need.

Our emergency services partners play a vital role in providing shelter and supplies to individuals affected by severe weather and other disasters This Duke Energy Foundation HERO grant will support Oconee County's purchase of a trailer and supplies to enhance response efforts

The work they do requires first responders to rely on effective communication with other agencies during catastrophic events This Duke Energy Foundation HERO grant allows Belton Fire to get the additional radios they need to continue to be exaclty where the town needs them most

Uninterrupted communication during emergencies is critically important to the safety of students and faculty. This Duke Energy HERO grant will allow the School District of Pickens County to purchase satellite phones that will keep them in contact regardless of the circumstances

No surprise that Anderson County Emergency Management was named the 2024 Agency of the Year by the SC Emergency Management Association. This HERO grant from the Duke Energy foundation will support their work by funding equipment for traffic control during severe weather events.

Congratulations to the Williamston Police Department and Envision Williamston on another successful back toschool event. This Duke Energy Foundation grant will help ensure over 200 students get the supplies they need to be ready for the new school year.

Last week Duke Energy teammates joined with area law enforcement agencies to pack boxes for Serve & Connect’s Greg’s Groceries program. A Duke Energy grant also helped support the purchase of the non-perishable food now available to families in need at local departments.
