Groups of Yr 10 & 9's have been having science workshops this week. The Yr 9's focused on casting various “spells” themed around Harry Potter. Meanwhile the Year 10’s workshop involved step by step dissection of a cow’s eyeball, looking at the structures important for sight.

Mrs Ambrose welcomed a group of Yr 9's to her office to sign the Head’s Book of Commendation. They'd produced outstanding history homework on the causes of WWII. Poppy recieved 2 awards in recognition of another piece of work she had completed on her family history during WWII.

Our Yr 13's assembly showed them the reality of personal finances once they’ve entered the world of work. Sam from Bubble Finance Hub explained how to calculate what their after-tax take-home pay would be once all their bills had been paid & about tax allowances and budgeting.

Last night a group of our Yr 10 & 11's headed to the New Theatre Oxford to watch the National Theatre production of War Horse. Drama arranged for their GCSE students to see this Michael Morpurgo classic as they'll be writing about it in their Component 3 exam in the summer.
