Today, TNG released a mining policy that affirms its jurisdiction over mineral resources in its Territory, its responsibilities to protect Tŝilhqot’in nen for future generations, and outlines how responsible mining may occur in the Tsilhqot’in territory. tsilhqotin.ca/mining-oil-gas/

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the historic Tŝilhqot’in Decision, a pivotal moment that recognized the Tŝilhqot’in Nation's Aboriginal title. We celebrated this milestone and reaffirmed our commitment to reconciliation, respect, and partnership with Indigenous Peoples.

The Tŝilhqot’in Nation has reached a historic agreement with the BC and Taseko Mines that resolves the long-standing conflict at Teẑtan Biny (Fish Lake) by requiring the consent of the Tŝilhqot’in Nation for any mining activity in the area. Read more: tsilhqotin.ca
