#otd 1929 the centrepiece for the housewarming of Louise Dyer’s Paris penthouse was the premiere of #GustavHolst150’s Humbert Wolfe Songs. The party gifts were his Rig Veda hymns and the differently innovative Four Songs for Voice and Violin. More to enjoy Holst Victorian House.

Wonderful performance of #GustavHolst150’s 2 piano version of The Planets in the normally quiet-ish Rare Books and Music room British Library. An unexpected chance to see one of his MS scores too. Bravo to all concerned for a wonderful experiment to be repeated soon.
