Thank you to everyone who volunteered with us this past weekend at Love Our Lakes Day! Lake Tuscaloosa is one of our City's greatest treasures, and we are so grateful for everyone who has had a hand in preserving it.

In observance of Memorial Day, City Hall will close at 4 p.m. and 311 will close at 5 p.m. Friday, May 23 and remain closed on Monday, May 26. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, May 27. Garbage, trash and recycling collection will also be delayed one day next week.

Yesterday, the new Shelby Park fountain was unveiled just in time for summer and Memorial Day weekend! The fountain, installed by City Employees, will be open daily from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Earlier this month, District 4 Tuscaloosa City Councilman and retired Marine Colonel Lee Busby, commissioned new Marine Officers and graduating seniors Henry Gray and Landon Toups as part of their UA graduation. Both are headed off to Quantico, VA for further officer training.
