I actually think it is fifth, once removed, Geoff Wilson. Somewhere around the 1850s when Melbourne was settled. Closest actual relationship is the blood that pumps as our ‘heart beats true, for the red and the blue’ Mighty Melbourne Demons.

Labor’s family savings tax on unrealised capital gains is coming after any Australian who dares back themselves for a better future. Small business is in its crosshairs. It must be stopped. It must be stopped now.

I know there will be Goldstein residents concerned about family, friends & loved ones in the Middle East. Like you, I have friends currently in Israel. We are all hoping & praying for all civilian safety and enduring peace.

Front page images of destroyed Israeli apartment buildings hit by Iranian bombs should horrify us all, and remind us of the importance of an enduring peace and the need to end all civilian casualties.

.Reserve Bank of Australia holds rates. No surprise. Often asked: How to cut inflation to get rates down? Answer: 1. Monetary policy (what RBA does) 2. Int’l supply chain factors (don’t control that) 3. Fiscal policy (get Gov spending down). Yet, Fed + State Gov spending is up. So no change.

The Albanese economic sinkhole: Unemployment up. Business insolvencies up. Real wages anemic. Productivity down. Household savings down. Small business confidence collapsed. Perhaps it’s time to acknowledge Australians aren’t doing well under this government.

This week we found out unemployment is rising. Jobs are being sucked into the Albanese economic sink hole, so their solution is to make it harder for small businesses to give Australians their first job. I don’t think is what Australians voted for: afr.com/politics/feder…

Is this what Australians voted for? The unions have rebuffed the PM’s authority. They’re clearly off the leash and dictating the terms. Did Australians vote to have their government wagged by the tail of Labor’s political patrons?

While business calls out Amanda Rishworth MP’s shoddy drafting, the Greens & Coalition are trying to figure out the impact of her new IR laws. We want a standard reg impact & Senate inquiry. Greens: a cost benefit analysis. Pretty reasonable. news.com.au/finance/work/a…

Antisemitic abuse is an ugly gateway of social division for all. It’s appalling school students feel the license to chant such abuse. This would be unfathomable a few years ago. Now it is a normalised reality. And it has been by a failure of leadership: theage.com.au/national/victo…
