1A boys tennis singles & doubles state qualifying in Decorah: Aplington-Parkersburg’s Keegan Bolhuis/Tyler Wedeking and Grundy Center’s Elias Cakerice/Carson Laube are playing for third place. The winner will be an alternate for the state tournament #iahsten

Keegan Bolhuis and Tyler Wedeking dropped a tough 3 setter to Decorah, but came back with a 6-4 6-1 win over Laube/Cakerice of Grundy Center to finish 3rd. Proud of the fight and grit our boys showed today. Back in Decorah Saturday for the first two rounds of team substate.

Boys bow out to Decorah in the Substate 4 Semis; 1-5. Tyler Wedeking lost in 3rd set during the regular season but flipped it for a W at today: 6-4, 1-6, 12-10. Guys played hard all day, congrats and thanks go to senior, Keegan Bolhuis for 4 years of varsity tennis for us.

BOYS SEASON RECAP: 8-5 Dual Record 2 Individual Conf Champs Bolhuis/Wedeking Doubles State Tournament Alternates Tons of growth out of a team that graduated five players last year. Next year we return 6 of our top 7 and plenty of other talent as well, future is bright!
