Had a fun fieldwork with Tzu-Yi Lu yesterday. So many blueberries and cranberries at the bog! 🫐

After adding few more micromet sensors on, our #bluecarbon tower looks like a serious research station! Still waiting for our customized mounting boom for #eddycovariance to come, excited!

I finally got to see the new tower at the tidal site! Here's the proof of Tzu-Yi Lu working hard as usual 💪

So lucky to work on a beautiful day with my excellent partner at our tidal site! A simple adjustment on cables and SHFPs, and basic maintenance on EC sensors. Always having fun working in the field with Tin Satriawan. Also saw many cute ducks on the tidal flat before we left.

The water table gets higher and higher recently at the Burns Bog. Almost all frames for the phenology project were flooded. Besides, thanks to our lab members' efforts to the power upgrade plan, we resumed the EC system last week at BB1 🎉

Install the water probe today under precious beautiful weather! Finally, we have all the sensors at our salt marsh site now. So exciting!

King tide and first snow came together to our coastal flux tower. Fortunately, the tide level wasn't too high at our study area, the tower is still able to work hard!

Nothing better than a chat about wetlands that includes salinity, wildfire, restoration and, of course, methane! Thanks @sarahelenknox and her whole research group for the joint lab meeting today!

Enjoy a short day trip to two charming tidal wetlands! The canopy in the salt marsh gets so dense like hairs. The brackish marsh is embellished with lots of yellow flowers.

Autumn is coming! Cattails produce many fluffy seeds around our EC tower at the brackish marsh. To make the best use of the shortened daylight hours, we adjusted the angle of solar panels to get prepared for the first winter at the new #BlueCarbon site!
