The annual UCC Research & Innovation Awards take place later this week. Weāre delighted to welcome PURDYLUCEY back as sponsor of the UCC Research & Innovation Awards, an intellectual property law firm with deep roots in Irelandās innovation ecosystem.


Applications now open for 2nd level students for the free HEA UCC Ireland Summer School in Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Leadership. This summer school includes daily challenges, mentoring and a business idea competition. Email [email protected] by 6th June to apply!

VP for Research & Innovation UCC Ireland John F. Cryan opens this year's #UCCResearchInnovationAwards, congratulating all nominees. This year, researchers are being awarded across twenty-two categories, five of which recognise specific achievements in entrepreneurship and innovation.


President of UCC Ireland Prof John O'Halloran welcomes audience members to the #UCCResearchInnovationAwards, recognising researchers and their impact across all stages of their career.


Congrats to the pHetalSafe team - Ray Burke, Dr Simon Toft Sorenson, Dr Jason Yang, Dr Rekha Gautam, Dr Huihui Lu Tyndall Institute; Professor Fergus McCarthy UCC Medicine & Health/INFANT Centre - on winning the Invention of the Year award, for their fetal monitoring device.


#UCCResearchInnovationAwards Consultancy Project of the Yr Award goes to Hannah Daly for her work with Friends of the Earth supported by UCC Consulting, exploring implications of rapidly increasing data centre electricity demand on Irelandās carbon budgets & decarbonisation commitments.
