Roberto Mayor's lab, with researchers from Dresden and the The Francis Crick Institute, has published (Nature Comms) a theory of cell migration called ‘frictiotaxis’. Instead of relying on adhesion, cells sense a gradient of friction within the substrate. UCL Faculty of Life Sciences nature.com/articles/s4146…
