The miracle that is a restored #ghostpond in the middle of arable. This #pond was filled in >100 yrs ago & lost. We ressurected it back in 2015. It is now *ALIVE*. How many species can you see? You may even see fish. The most successful form of ecological restoration known!

Colonisation of a ressurected ancient #ghostpingo pond in just 1 year. From 0 to 40 wetland plants in the blink of a frog's eye because of a long-lived #seedbank. Anyone seen any form of ecological restoration more successful than this? Helene Burningham @tim_holt_wilson Norfolk Wildlife Trust
